Updates and complaints

Thank you for the comments on the layout ^^ As mentioned in my last entry, I wanted to work on the content of the site. So… I’ve rewritten the Personal section and added a Reads section. It’s still very empty, and the only thing really filled in are the webhost reviews. I also decided to redo the Photography section. It resembles the Artwork gallery now and has larger photos than before.

Anyway, I’ve finally decided to move hosts. I’ve been thinking about it for a while, and now I’m just frustrated. I’m starting to really hate Site5.

- I hate that my domains are often slow.
- I hate that cPanel is incredibly slow and sometimes doesn’t even load.
- I hate that their firewall continues to block my IP address. They claim it’s “failed cPanel logins”, but I’m positive that I’m logging in correctly, especially since I’m usually blocked while I’m in the middle of working in it.
- I hate that they suspended my site once for no reason and without notification. It also took them a day to get back to me and tell me it was a mistake.

I was hoping to wait a little longer, but I’m tired of it. I can’t even get into my cPanel right now to back up my databases. So yeah… I’m going to buy the new account tonight on A2Hosting and start backing up things. This will effect this domain and twilight-realmCOM.

    Very nice =) Its so organized. And that sucks about the host, my friend hosts me and has Blue Host and my sites are never down.

    I was looking at your work, and I love all of it, especially the animations & photography.

    I’m sorry you have such a bad host. Apparently so do I and it’s sucking guts right now. I can’t move though.. Any way, I like the changes you made and hope you can switch without having too many problems.

    Mm, well…maybe I should reconsider getting a site5 plan as one of my contest prize? I’ve also heard plenty of good things about them, which was why I signed up with them for a few months, but had to close the account due to financial stress. At the time, they were actually pretty decent though, in both support and their service. I don’t recall much downtime or anything.
    I have a client whose domain is hosted under BlueHost and so far, their services, support team, response, etc etc has been quite excellent (so he says). He called them for assistance before signing up and everything too.
    Globat was good for me too, but then again, I was only hosted under them for a few months before I had to close my account due to the same reason as site5.

    Hope the move goes well.. I’m not sure about the host you’ve been using, since I’ve been using Influxhost from day one and it’s ok.

    when i had my domain i never had any problem with my host, fortunately, haha.
