Recent Haul

April 30th, 2012

I looked through my closet recently, saw how worn down my clothes were getting, and realized… man, it’s been a long time since I last went clothes shopping. Clothing is one of the things I prefer to buy in-store, so I can try them on and see how they fit on me. That’s probably why I don’t buy clothes very often since… I prefer to buy everything online.

So, this past weekend, I set out to Target, Old Navy, and Macy’s. After a few hours, I had bought 3 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of shorts, 3 pairs of shoes, 3 tops, 1 dress, 2 cardigans, and 2 strapless bras.

Here are pics of some of the them (with me being a really awkward model).

Anime Matsuri

April 10th, 2012

I’m back in town! Well, I never posted that I was out of town, but I was this past weekend. I drove to Houston (2-3 hours away) to visit a friend and to go to an Anime convention (Anime Matsuri).

My husband isn’t into Anime cons, so instead of dragging him to it, I made the drive alone, then went with my friend. While I was gone, he texted me that he watched a 27 episode show from start to finish and has been playing video games. I figured he was just lazy while I was gone. Instead, I got home to find the dishes and laundry done. *insert shocked face here*

I couldn’t decide between cosplaying and doing photography at the con, so I did a bit of both. I wore my Knives Chau costume and also brought my DSLR. Because Knives isn’t from an Anime and her outfit is very simple, I didn’t think it’d attract much attention. I was wrong about that and had to keep putting down my camera and bag every time someone wanted a photo of me. I will have to reconsider this combination ^^;;
